A father and son's club.
The Irawo boys' club is, in reality, a father and son's club. It is concerned with the overall formation of the boys who come to the club, with full involvement of the parents — particularly the fathers.
Guided Study Programme
At arrival, the boys study for two hours before any activity starts — instilling hard work, order and discipline. This programme has tremendous impact on their academic performance at school.
Interactive Sessions
The tutor speaks on a selected topic — sometimes a father is invited to speak with the boys. Questions and input from the boys are taken and addressed.
Industrial Visits
Excursions and industrial visits are occasionally organised to broaden the boys' views about work, culture and life. Senior boys usually participate.
Football
The teeming energy of the boys is nurtured with a game of football — instilling sportsmanship, teamwork and service. Sessions end with general cleaning, fostering responsibility.
